Choosing a career to pursue can be difficult when so many options look good. Although it takes some work, clarity about the path you want to take is crucial to your long-term happiness and personal development. This test will use a forced-choice matrix to help you determine what you really think about several careers, including some interesting choices that other tests dont offer.

A forced-choice matrix is a very helpful way to rank a list of things by importance. Heres how it works:

When you press the Start button, youll be presented with a long list of careers, such as Pilot, Architect, Programmer, and Writer. Scroll through the list and select the careers that most resonate with you. When youre done, you will be asked to compare every career you chose, two at a time. Suppose youre presented with this pair: Pilot or Writer. They may both be interesting to you. Ask yourself: which is more important to me? If I could only have one of these two, which would I choose? Then select the one that is your higher value. When you are finished, you will see a list of all the values you chose and the rank you gave them.
